Bits & Pieces

Denise from Artsmiths sponsored a giveaway on her blog with the prize being a stack of her beautiful handmade paste papers. One comment later I was the lucky winner. The papers arrived today and they are exquisite, colorful and unique -- as you can see in the photos below. Thank you Denise for your generosity!

Thanks also go out to Vivian from Viv's Lookout who recently nominated me for two awards - Brillante Weblog & Blog of Distinction. Much appreciation! Viv is a fantastic artist who works in many different formats, but my favorite are her journals. Given that I just nominated 7 blogs for these awards as well, this time I will encourage everybody to find a blog on my bloglist that is unfamiliar and pay them a visit.

Thanks to everybody that has agreed to be part of my upcoming artist survey. Talk about raising The Pulse! Many of your old favorites and many artists new to the project have signed on. You can too. If you want to participate, please email me and I will forward you the questions.

Over the next week or so, I will be focused on organizing the survey and maybe actually creating some art of my own. So I plan to take a brief blog break during that period. Of course, I reserve the right to spontaneously post at any time. Until then, here are links to two more posts from the original survey. Think of them as inside info from your favorite artists.

MY CURRENT GO-TO BLOG IS...

These are some fantastic papers. A few interesting colour combos that I might just be inspired by too. I am continually amazed by how lucky you are. Congratulations.

What a lovely set of papers! Have fun with your own art. After a week of visitors I will spend today on art for our book project! Lately I have been working so hard on representational drawing that I am nervous to loosen up to cut and tear...Roxanne
