Book...in brief

So many projects. So little time. I have been working away on the book that I created in my recent workshop with Judy Wilkenfeld. You can read more about my experience in the class in this post.

I completed the book structure during the workshop and had just started to add to the pages when we ran out of time. I have been thoroughly enjoying the continuation of this process since I have been home.

Just a few glances at what I have been up to in this book. More to follow in the coming weeks. Then all will be revealed.

very intriguing little pieces of your book-- a taste to keep us going.
I especially like the hand and doll--I have collected some doll heads, hands, etc but have not done anything with them yet-- some day....

Where do you get all these things from? Flea market? The hand with the wings is awesome!
I'm wondering: you are from NY, it's 9-11 and no word about the WTC- strange.
Art instead of grief, hm?

Cool Seth! Equally amazing depth, construction, colour and texture. Can I see an altered bits gift(s)?

PS. the wooly square in the mail art envelope is to go onto one of your dear sweet trees over there.

Wow Seth, wonderful sneaky peeks. Love the textures from all the different elements and the rusty suggestion in the colours and the vintage feel to them all. I'm endlessly fascinated by the way these things all combine together to tell stories texturally as well as visually. Can't wait to see the end result, I just know it will be quite something!

The pictures of your latest project Seth are beautiful. The blues and browns combined with the intricate hands and head are thought provoking. Love all of the dimentional attachments of objects. The backgrounds filled with textures and patterns are equally as stunning. Can't wait to see more of this work. What a wonderful opportunity to have gone to Judy's workshop and be able to continue the momentum!
