Solstice Sunset


I have made one more set of small mixed media artworks inspired by the solstice. Each piece includes at least one found metal object. This will be the last of the series. All pieces (except the above image) are available in my Etsy shop.









Ingredients: watercolor paper, acrylic paint, walnut ink, dye ink, calligraphy ink, dry transfer, altered paper, found metal objects, wire, eyelets, brads. sizes range from 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" to 4 1/4" x 3 3/4". click images to enlarge.

I love the way you used the rust as a feature. It really does symbolise the solstice sunset. Beautiful pieces.

Your sense of composition and the beautiful simplicity of these pieces is just amazing. I can see why there are NONE left to purchase in your etsy shop. You are on your way. Next thing you know, you won't need etsy anymore. One of those fabulous Chelsea galleries will be calling.

I just love the way the rusted/used metal pieces work in these & I have to admit that I'm a bit sad to think that the series has come to an end - especially since they're all sold out already! congrats on that. :)

These are so great. You know how much I love rusted found objects (RFOs). I especially love the fifth one, but they're all beautiful.
