I continue to work on my collaboration with Bridgette Guerzon Mills and Jen Worden. Each of us created a unique structure to pass back and forth. Bridgette's Trees is a handbound book of plaster pages. Jen's Shine is a series of metal sheets that will become flags. And my piece is a handmade book called Contexture. Think context, texture, and text.
Here is how my book is looking now...
And here are some photographs of the most recent pages I made in my own book...

Very cool Seth - a heap of work's gone into it too, by the look of things. Awesome stuff.
Don't you just adore the look of an artist book bulging with yummy stuff? I really like your pages here, textures, phrases and passages of symbols. I'd love to turn the pages.

Great name for your book & signature style. A true feast for the eyes. Love it!
Oh my gosh! I love this book with all the textures, subdued colors and text-- letters and numbers and so forth--- all up my alley. And it is so thick. I have been thinking about starting a book on my upcoming trip to Kyoto Japan and yours has given me some encouragement.
These pages you've done are quite rich Seth. I can only imagine how fabulous the book is - the colors, all that gorgeous texture, the small details to draw in the eye... I wanna touch!!
wow there are fantastic creation
your pages look like an old wall with layers and layers of ads and notices...revealed.
really wonderful!
the textural feast on the page draws you right in...and using the minimal text to bring the story out over the pages..perfect...not to much...or little
balanced!
if i saw this book closed...not see anything but the sides of the pages ...the warpy/ distressed pages would be calling me...
LOUD...
i would knock everyone to the side to get to it..
wow!!! what beauties!!!
What can I say that hasn't been said? This is simply, gorgeously, amazing. I really enjoy just looking at your work; I wish I could touch it too.
soooo fabulous! i just love the new pages, seth! i also adore how "ten" is circled in content, with a 10 below it. i really do wish i could touch that book and feel all of the amazing texture.
Magnificent! The enlarged view is a must to appreciate all of the layers of texture in your pages. I think that I could stare at them for hours and yet still find something that was hidden at first look.
I'd love to see this in person, I bet it's even more fabulous!
just stunning textures, love those pieces...
Very very enticing and yummily textured pages..I love these...the side photo of the journals is awesome...So glad I came to visit...Orly
What a great idea. Your book leaves me breathless.
This work is brilliant in all senses of the word. It has such intensity through your it's intricate layers, texture, internal design and words. Just beautiful!
Enlarging every picture, absorbing details. Awesome!
Seth! The text and texture is amazing! So complex! I love it!!!
amazing journal work...as usual seth!
Oh boy! I love all the layers and colors and textures. You sure have developed a distinctive style. I'd know your work anywhere!
Lucky me, getting to see your book in the flesh!
my eyes can feel the roughness of these pages...i can feel the texture of each element...even the paint feels rough and good...of course i love the stitches you make to hold things on and together...i relate to the sewing of threads to boards and fibers, twigs, etc...the words shout out and off the page...making me wonder about the story...colors meld together so well...how do you find time to do this and respond to your many, many admirers? i love looking at all your work Seth.
Oh wow! I zoomed in to take a closer look and your work is just amazing.
If you check my blog tomorrow afternoon(August 26) I have a little something for you.

You are so involved and I am so full of envy..Even tho I know should not be..It would be so nice to be in a location where so much is going on instead of being stuck in the country side of AL..I love the texture and I want to make hand made books..Yet to read and understand is not me..I have to see it being done and then I need that little bit of Help! LOl.
thank you for always inspiring.
