I have an ongoing column in
Cloth Paper Scissors magazine called
The Creative Pulse. The theme of my column in
Cloth Paper Scissors July/August 2015 is all about taking on - or avoiding - the label of artist. "It seems that the word itself has taken on magical connotations and mythical proportions... What it it about this title that seems to strike fear in the hearts and minds of so many?" Read my thoughts on pages 32-34.

I must go purchase'Cloth, Paper, Scissors' at the craft store. It's lovely you are writing a column for them.
Cheers! And hope you had a very lovely 4th of July!

I will check it out!
GREAT NEWS!
It is a word with connotations that are hard for some people to feel comfortable with. I have to read your article. I love this work you're featuring! Have a great week, Seth!
Life is a story. I'm beginning to catch on that artists are story tellers. :)
It took me years to accept that I could be called an 'artist', but now I do. I guess if I spend half my waking life playing with art stuff that qualifies me.
Old story tellers now fed by a spoon? JK! Love this piece.
I loved the article in CPS. Every time I receive a new issue in the mail I can't wait to read it cover to cover. I loved your article about being called an artist. It took me a long time to openly call myself an artist. I didn't have a problem calling myself a graphic designer when I got my first office job, but calling myself an artist was not as easy. Perhaps because I went to college for graphic design and I had a full time job as one, I had permission to do so. Now, I love announcing to anybody new I meet that I am a mixed-media artist.
Great piece Seth!
It took a long time for me to be confident and to finally allow myself to call myself an artist-and I have no regrets! ")
Wow that is super cool. I went in the other day and checked out all ur items. Couldn't pick a fav as their all so nice. Love all the elements and the way you describe your piece. All the hidden lil touches you probably add to alot of things. Thanks for sharing your handy work
