Really nice collection this week, Seth! Found the Thieme Termaat video inspiring and a delight to watch. Rauschenberg at the Tate makes me wish I was in London right now (the five-minute video with various artists, and others, commenting on his art are great reminders of what an incredible innovator Rauschenberg was and how he truly blurred the lines between art and life. As one of the commentators says, his work does not fit neatly into established art genres and stretches the boundaries of schools such as Abstract Expressionism and Pop Art). Jose' Parla' is new to me. Especially loved (of course!) the paintings where he either used a collaged surface as a substrate for the painting or integrated collage elements into the painted surface as he worked. Thanks, as always Seth, for expanding our horizons and making Sunday one the BEST days of the week!
