Photography: Mexico - doors and windows

Back to the blog! My recent trip to Mexico was filled with endless amounts of visual inspiration. Among my favorite aspects of art in general are layers, textures, patina and aged materials. Needless to say, Mexico is filled with examples of all of these things...altered by nature. Over the next few weeks I will be posting photographs from this trip, all of which highlight different aspects of the beauty of Mexico and it's culture...and all of which will find their way into my art! First -- the doors and windows of Mexico. Click on your favorites because the larger images really allow you to better see the beauty of the colors and depth of the textures.

welcome back! Great photos. I knew you'd come back with a treasure of patina'd (?) buildings and doors.

Will email you soon when I get some time.

Seth...Wow I can't believe it. Deja vu...

I was at a friends house 2 weeks ago & I had not seen her for a long time... & On her walls were a multitude of small framed photographs of the most wonderful collection of time-aged exquisitely beautiful doors taken when she was in Mexico a few years earlier...

Beautiful doors create magic... if only in your imagination
I love these...

Thank you , gwen
