Lucky Number Seven
Pasticcio Quartz Issue 7 is now on sale. This Quality Art Zine is the creation of the always amazing Sarah Fishburn and equally amazing Angela Cartwright. With every issue they continue to publish one of the most varied and jam-packed zines out there. If you have ever seen an issue, you will know what I mean when I say that Pasticcio is about so much more than art. And if you haven't seen an issue yet, what are you waiting for?
Issue 7 highlights graffiti, illustration, and stencil artists. I am happy to say that it includes my artwork in the Palais du Art section. And the issue also includes an original article that I wrote based on the following 1908 postcard that I was lucky enough to find quite a few years ago.
Click here to be taken to their studio storefront where you can purchase any or all of the 7 issues!
And while we are talking zines, Alicia at Altered Bits is preparing her next issue of The Altered Bits Zine, an online publication that keeps getting better and better. Each issue is themed and the next one is Black and White. She is accepting submissions through September 1. Click here for more info. Come on...you know you want to be in it!

Up late again, Seth?
Well, well done you for getting into an Angela Cartwright zine! I've loved that woman from the moment I clapped eyes on one of her mixed media exhibitions. And yes...the next Altreed Bit's zine promises to be a real treat. I'm beavering away right now on a couple of complimentary works to add to my main piece.
Thanks for this information! I love the green cover. I've been so overwhelmed with work lately I haven't had much time for art. Hopefully that will change soon. - Jeanne
Super Congrats on your artwork and editorial piece in Pasticcio 7. I know you've said "lucky number 7", but I actually think every number is lucky for you! Can't wait to read my copy! Thanks for the heads up on Alicia at Altered Bits "Black and White" theme. You continue to be in, on, AND THE PULSE for everything! In print,
on-line, your Zine, and Etsy- can't wait to see what's coming next!
you are the king of the universe, my friend! first, congrats on your most recent publication. i should go out and purchase all 7 issues and i am horribly embarrassed to admit that i've never held nor looked at an issue of pistachio.
secondly, thank you so very much for the shout out about the zine. i think this will be a fabulous one -- black and white is such a beautiful but oftentimes challenging thing to accomplish for those who are used to incorporating vibrant hues into their work. so far, there are some hugely amazing submissions! can't wait for you to see it!
I'm new to Zines but I'm going to check this one out. It looks very tasty indeed! Also, I want to read the article about that postcard, Seth.
Congratulations, Seth! And thanks for the heads up about this issue and the new Altered Bits :-)
It zounds delicious. Now if only my old paper ship would come in...
Congrats Seth, I saw your work and your article when I was perusing the proof copy at Sarah's. Your work is fabulous as always! Cannot wait to read the whole Zine! cat
Addressing all Seth fans - and who ISN'T?
Turns out, Seth is not just a dynamite artist and AMAZING blogger and gatherer of tribes, he's also an accomplished writer! But you all might have guessed that, as he is just so dang good at *whatever* he sets his mind to doing...
His P7 article is timely, funny, and just a little bit far-out!
At any rate, it's entertaining and edifying. His piece in Palais - soon to be (corrected to!!) "Palais d'art" for all you annoyed, fluent-in-French Pasticcio fans - is both cerebral and elegant - in that inimitable, distressed Seth style!
Now I'll have to go check this out as I haven't seen this zine before either. Can't wait to see Alicia's mag. Love the B&W theme and can't wait to se everyone's take on it.
Congratulations Seth. I love stencilling so I'm off to take a look at the web site.
love this postcard. I went junking this week looking for old letters and such. Found some written by Blakie to his 'mama' between 1913-1923 and the stamp on the envelopes are 2cents. wonderful reading the letters as I could tell he started writing them as a young boy and 10 years later he was a young man.
Oh, I really hope I can get a black and white piece ready, because I LOVE that! I have a week!
Thanks for reminding me about Pasticcio.
love this postcard.
Thanks for this information!
I love the green cover.
