Underneath it All

The second book that is being shown as part of the exhibition "Below the Surface" may also be familiar to some of you, as it has been previously posted on my blog. It is "Underground" - my hand bound book of altered photographs celebrating the urban beauty of New York City. All the photographs were shot in New York to capture the impact of time, change, and movement.

I am glad that this exhibit has given me an opportunity to once again showcase this book and to unearth the layers that exist in this special city!

Sold. Thank you!

Once again I am happily surprised and what a visual treat on a Sunday evening.

If it were not for dinner, I would make myself comfortable, have a hot chocolate, and give my eyes a feast to savor upon. But alas, it will have to wait till later tonight.

Enjoy your upcoming week

Were any of the images from the 'underground'? I rode the subway into Boston to see Fenway (and the Red Sox) but the primary purpose of the ride was the Fenway thing. I have a thing for old ball parks. I'd never been on a subway, so that was a new experience as well, so I was just wondering if the title was just the title or if the focus was really underground. What I can see of it is really great, Seth.

Stunning!!! I love the various textures and techniques you used in this book. I am going to "borrow" the two pages that overlap and will HAVE to try it at home!

This is great. I do wish I could see yourart work in real life. The computer is great but it would be wonderful to see the texture. And simply touch and enjoy.
Thanks for always sharing.

Time, change and movement in the city of the big apple...New York seems so kinetic to someone living in a cabin in the woods. The lights, sounds and wonderful people filled with optimism and determination. You are blessing me when you share these wonderful processes that seem almost effortless and yet so precise in their disclosures. Imagine and Live in Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
