Underneath it All
The second book that is being shown as part of the exhibition "Below the Surface" may also be familiar to some of you, as it has been previously posted on my blog. It is "Underground" - my hand bound book of altered photographs celebrating the urban beauty of New York City. All the photographs were shot in New York to capture the impact of time, change, and movement.
I am glad that this exhibit has given me an opportunity to once again showcase this book and to unearth the layers that exist in this special city!
Sold. Thank you!

I love the textures--breathing NYC.
I am getting a new found respect and appreciation for your hand made books-- and I LOVE NYC.
Once again I am happily surprised and what a visual treat on a Sunday evening.
If it were not for dinner, I would make myself comfortable, have a hot chocolate, and give my eyes a feast to savor upon. But alas, it will have to wait till later tonight.
Enjoy your upcoming week

A feast for the eyes!
Funny and witty! I like it.
But "Don't do this at home" ;)
All of your recent posts are a feast for the eyes and speak volumes about your positive and enthusiastic outlook towards creativity Seth. Congratulations on your exhibit. I enjoyed your interview at the Ephemera Blog. Go Seth, go!
Very, very interesting. Don't try this at home and the ubiquitous "x's" - love the bridge. - Jeanne
beautiful, seth! love *everything* about these pages!
Were any of the images from the 'underground'? I rode the subway into Boston to see Fenway (and the Red Sox) but the primary purpose of the ride was the Fenway thing. I have a thing for old ball parks. I'd never been on a subway, so that was a new experience as well, so I was just wondering if the title was just the title or if the focus was really underground. What I can see of it is really great, Seth.
I'm so glad you had a chance to showcase this wonderful book, again. :)bea
oh, too late, I already tried it at home! fab work as always!
Your books scream to have their pages turned.
two of my favorites of your projects! and viewed as never before because our very, very old pc died a few days ago and we replaced it with a new macbook pro. now i want to go back and see all the old posts again!
Stunning!!! I love the various textures and techniques you used in this book. I am going to "borrow" the two pages that overlap and will HAVE to try it at home!
I remember Underground. I'm glad to see it's being put on display too.
This is great. I do wish I could see yourart work in real life. The computer is great but it would be wonderful to see the texture. And simply touch and enjoy.
Thanks for always sharing.

fantastic work! you make me want to come to NYC!
OK book-nerd question how is it bound, rings?? I can't tell from teh picture:(
well, you're totally evolving, or i have new eyes, or both. UNDERGROUND and BILLBOARD just amaze me, and like many, i wish i could see them, 3D see.
congrats on the show.
stay in that zone of yours!!
It's all been said, amazing!
Time, change and movement in the city of the big apple...New York seems so kinetic to someone living in a cabin in the woods. The lights, sounds and wonderful people filled with optimism and determination. You are blessing me when you share these wonderful processes that seem almost effortless and yet so precise in their disclosures. Imagine and Live in Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
congratulations!!!!
i hope your other book is snatched up quickly as well!
Congrats on the sale! The book is beautiful!
Hey Seth, is Billboard still available? I'll take it if it is.
I love these pages! Once again you have done a wonderful job with color and texture!
Oh, oh, oh! I especially like that page with the grid. Wonderful work as usual.
