Journal Joint

I am excited to announce that I will be part of a panel discussion called "The Importance of Journaling in Fostering Creativity." This event is being hosted by the wonderful Rice Freeman Zachery and will also include Wendy Hale Davis as part of the panel. A question and answer session will follow the discussion. The day will be highlighted by a book signing during which Rice will be available to sign copies of her newest book "Creative Time & Space: Making Room for Making Art."

Creative Time and Space: Making Room for Making Art

This event is being sponsored by The Ink Pad and will take place on Saturday June 19th between 1:00 and 4:00. It is being held at the Westbeth Community Center in New York City on 55 Bethune Street (between Washington and West).

I hope everybody in and near NYC will try to attend. I would love to personally meet more of the people who visit and support The Altered Page. The event is free but seats are limited and you must register with The Ink Pad in advance for a space. You can call 212-463-9876 for reservations.

Bummer! I'd be there in a heartbeat, but have unchangeable plans that day. Would have loved to see you again and of course, the panel discussion sounds wonderful. I hope you have a huge turnout.
Best wishes,
Eileen

wish I could make it as I find myself more and more interested in journaling lately, but as I am sending my daughter to the big city this weekend I won't be able to afford it myself too :( However I am really hoping to make at least one trip up to visit her, so maybe we can meet for coffee then, I'd love to see you for real someday :))

Go get 'em Seth!!! Tell everyone how important journaling is!! That's awesome, wish I could be there. Journaling is important, it's about the only form of art I'm able to do right now and it's helping me keep it all together-lol!

How wonderful! Sounds like such an amazing panel discussion and so glad you will be part of it. I have Rice's book and can attest to how great it is. Journaling seems to be the hot word of the day! What an opportunity not to miss! Also love your newest Pax hand piece in your Etsy! Just great! Your Hand pieces are flying off your shelves and I can definitely see why. They are all so unique, special, and incredibly creative!

I could just cry. Although I live in FL my bro lives in NYC, walking distance from the Ink Pad. Normally I visit him around this time of year but major surgery scheduled for 6/14 is trashing any travel plans. If you think you will be repeating this class or doing anything else at the Ink Pad I sure would like to know about it.
