The story goes that Nodens was once the leader of the Gods. However, he lost his hand when wounded in battle. Gofannon, the Divine-Smith, made a new hand for Nodens out of silver, after which he was known as the Silver-Handed. Ultimately he became the Celtic God of Health and Healing.

Here I am again, admiring your 'hand' art piece.

i love this blog.
I'm thinking I need some divine intervention from the god. Seriously.
You have the grace of the Gods in your words ...you art...your hands. Thank you for blessing us all. Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
I love how you name your pieces, it adds another beautiful layer to your work.
I love backstory on a piece...something to ponder along with the work; details, details! :-)

When I read the title of this post, I thought you were going to be writing about me. Oh well.
I love these hand assemblages with their circular layers of rustiness. They are like unearthed relics of past times.
