The future is now. Cloth Paper Scissors has recently release Collage in Color - an amazing eMag. This is a must have, both in terms of content and format. Their eMag is not just any downloadable file. It is fully interactive, in all the best ways. Of course you can click on links all over the place, but you can also pan and zoom in on the images, watch one of the 19 videos embedded in the eMag, view slideshows, scroll through articles, print out pages and lists, and much more. You can also see my piece 'With Wings' in the gallery section of Jenn Mason's article 'Complementary Colors.'
The first time though the eMag I barely even looked at all the articles and pictures - I was too focused on the fun format. But since then, I have come to see that the eMag is packed with information and art as well. For more information, click here. Or for iPad, you can go directly here.

This is fantastic -- I can't wait to explore! Thanks for the info. I had no idea this was out there.
Love your piece!
I'm not sure yet on what I think about eMag's. I'm warming to them since I got a Nook...but I still like my magazines to be paper....do like the interactive nature and so forth...so I'll probably convert over someday...
I would just love to comment on Dave's comment,
Dave, I totally agree with you. We love paper magazines, too! Think of our eMag as a totally different beast. Think of it as an interactive experience where you can watch videos, pan and zoom, and meet the artists behind the features. We have no plans on doing away with our good ole magazine...we like to read in the bathtub, too! --Jenn Mason, Editor of Cloth Paper Scissors AND Collage in Color!
Looks interesting but my ISP won't download them....
I guess I am old and like a magazine I can actually HOLD and flip thru. ;-)
XXOO~~

I went to check it out but since I don't run Windows or Mac I can't run this. Most digital editions are pdf files and can be viewed on everything. I hope this kind doesn't become a trend. :(
I'll look at it.
Are you aware of how closely YOUR art here "FLY" looks like a fabric art quilt? Wondering if one day you and I might do a collabrative work of art? ;-)
Thanks for that Seth... your blog is always full of interesting links.
PS: I posted some 'hands' for you
Sounds fantastic, will have to check it out. Love your collage and your blues. xox Corrine
Thanks for the info on this eMag- looks wonderful. Congratulations on having your artwork "With Wings" included. It's just great! Love the combined color combinations and patterns all put together in such a great mosaic!
I was just rereading your "With One Palette" a couple of nights ago and was struck by how well this piece would go with those pieces. This piece is truly complimentary. I am in awe of everything you make, so I'll check out this e-mag.
Looks interesting .. thanks for sharing
The cover is beautiful and you've definitely chosen a popular blue-green FLY!! Enjoyed reading Jenn's response to Dave's comment on e-zines...maybe it's the name that begs a comparison, when in fact, they're a different beast entirely.
I'd suggest we look at them as a more interactive tool. The leisurely quality of sitting down in a comfy chair and leafing through a magazine is 'tied' to relaxing more for me personally.
But I love the opportunity to dive deeper into videos, etc. that an ezine offers.
I don't always have time to comment, but I so enjoy your posts and never miss one:)
Love your piece!
I got Collage in Color not knowing if I would like an "eMag". I was so glad I purchased it. For anyone having problems with downloading, it took me a few tries to get it and I can say it was SO well worth the learning curve of eMag Technology:)I agree with Jenn, it is a totally different experience and I think the title eMag really does not fit (and you have to watch the Editors videos in the beginning).
I too found myself playing with all the options the first go-round...after that I watched the videos, zoomed in on the details of a project and loved every minute of it. It was like having all the artists in a workshop sharing techniques...so much better than just writing an article and posting pics. Been through it 3 times and going back for more today!!!
And Seth your "With Wings" is fantastic.
Thanks, Seth. Now I've once again spent $10.00 on something I could have lived without, but knowing your impeccable taste, decided I just have to have. (I should be saving up to buy a piece of your artwork instead.) I love the click-ability of links inside e-mags as there is so much available to learn. Oh well. Have a great New York day!
Another publication!! wow, congrats...will hop right on over and check it out!
