something told me stop here, just before midnight..but i had to change my profile pic on fb 1st. our thoughts of 9/11 brushed up against each other, somehow. thanks for sharing this heartfelt commemoration and a part of yourself, along with it.

One can really sense this feeling of collective grief all around the world. Even here, more than 6000 kilometers away.
My thoughts are with you and all who have lost their nearest and dearest.

That day changed everything. NYC was eerie with memories yesterday. Onward.
Thanks for this Seth. Sometimes they are just no words. I am thinking of my friends who lost their son in the WTC and grateful they are not in NYC today, but off doing something life affirming with their son's daughter (who is now a young teen) and the rest of their family.
I am taking back the day from the media and not watching any of it. It's too traumatizing.
Thinking of you and all of New York as the world remembers...lovely piece to commemorate this anniversary.

I'm not ready for remembrances yet--it's just too painful. For those who lost so much they live with their pain everyday and don't need an anniversary but the media makes sure the rest of us get one (wanted or not) and I find the "commercialism" distasteful. No other event in my lifetime brought such sadness as I witnessed the horror live on TV ten years ago. As the towers burned and the firefighters swarmed in to climb those many stairs, I had a premonition of disaster but could never have imagined the tragedy that followed. My husband spent 30 years as a firefighter and will tell you he hated highrise fires more than anything. As an artist I have never been able to express my feelings about this day, I admire your courage Seth and enjoyed seeing your creation. My heartfelt sympathies for all of mankind are felt so strongly this day that reminds us all of what we are capable of, both good and bad.

So many of us with stories, tremendous tragedy and quiet horrors. We lost our innocence that day in too many ways to count. I know a young girl whose rode the train with a friend each day to the WTC. She lived, her friend did not. A comment she made describing her feelings and thoughts upon seeing her friend's car at the train station after Sept 11 - just sitting there waiting as it had done for so many other work days - took my breathe away.
And Seth...powerful piece of art there.
It's a truly wonderful piece of art to remember this day.
