One of my mottos when it comes to mixed media is more is more. There is always room for one more layer or a little more texture.
Another one of my mottos is it is all in the details. I have learned that even the smallest detail, perhaps not even noticed at first glance, can elevate your artwork. Put those two mottos together and I bet you can guess that I like a lot of detail.
I am happy to be a guest blogger at Spellbinders, sharing my favorite techniques to add details to my work. Read all about it and see more pics here.

Amazing!
LOL. You sound like Dar James! She always says that. I hear her voice saying it every time I look at a painting of mine and can't decided what to do. It is a great mantra to have in your head at all times. "More is more" Yay!
Looks wonderful Seth, off to take a closer look! Deb xo
I really enjoyed reading how you brought your project together, thanks for sharing some great tips too! x
Love this- just makes me happy.
I'm with you Seth. I love the kind of detail that you don't notice immediately until the second or third look, it's there but slightly hidden. Been using velum recently which looks good over the top of other detail, you really have to look to see what's beneath it, like a hidden gem. Another great piece Seth. Happy crafty week, Angela x
So so true, Seth! Looking for the details will also get the viewer to slow down and really share in the creative process. Lovely work...as always! :-)
