Evidence of Autumn
Roxanne from River Garden Studio and I have been collaborating on a project since earlier this year entitled Evidence of Autumn. We each bound our own books and have been sending them back and forth to each other, creating pages in both books. You've seen glimpses of these pages for quite a few months. I feel lucky to have been able to work with Roxanne and am so happy with the results of our collaboration, filled with fall colors, layers, textures, metal, twine, wire, fabric, rust, leaves, words, phrases, and more. Click on the images to enlarge and click here to see Roxanne's book and her beautiful post about the project.

This is an incredibly beautiful piece of artwork.
Amazing how similiar your art work is so the pages blend so well together making an uninterrupted flow in both books. Beautifully done...lovely to look at. Wow.

This is fabulous work by you both
Love it.
Karen
I could spend the day with a cup of hot spiced cider and these fabulous pages of your wonderful art. I have been eagerly awaiting the viewing on both your blogs and the end results take my breath away. Thank you!
All the pages are so very beautiful. I just love all the colors and textures and your styles compliment each other so well.
Spectacular. It's... words fail me.
I can't help but love this book. It is so evocative of autumn. Wonderful warm colours mingled with cooler tones - just like the golden leaves and the chill air. A beautiful piece.
You're the busiest person I know! Beautiful pages!
Oh Seth, your newest pages are so beautiful...I love the leaf with the paint splatters, and the key with the layered papers behind...Seth working with you has been incredible. The project has been a joy from the beginning and I too look forward to our next endevour! Thank you for all the inspiration... Roxanne
They're incredible!
absolutely beautiful, per usual.:)
GORGEOUS!
What a great chronicle of the achievement; it's great to see so many of the pages. And thanks for directing us to Roxanne's site.
beautiful!
Totally awesome, Seth and Roxanne. Indeed, very beautiful. I could sit and study the enlarged pictures, there's so much to see and absorb. I love the subtle muted colors, the leaves, the text, the keys, oh gee, I love it all. And the texture is especially exciting to me, since I love texture so much. Your individual styles are so complimentary and cohesive together.
I would love to see your books up close, to be able to hold them and touch them. Incredible art from both of you. Also, very inspirational. You've both given me some thoughts and ideas to work with. Thanks so much for sharing.
Seth - what a beautiful project - each page is more interesting than the one before - I love how you and Roxanne each have your own style but they blend so well together - Have a question - did y'all do anything special to the dried leaves etc to preserve them? and if so what did you do? thanks for sharing this with us - hugs - Reva (Los Angeles)
In music people often comment on the beautiful harmonies created by members of the same family... there's nothing quite like siblings singing in harmony. These pages sing like siblings in harmony, Seth... if you and Roxanne aren't related by blood, you must be soul kin. :)
These books are absolutely beautiful! I love how your work and Roxanne's blend together so well. On my way over to her blog.
Gorgeous!
nice. good theme too.
Just beautiful!
Let's hear it for the continuing tidal wave of amazing collaborative work! These are lovely books to Fall into....I KNOW that they're even more beautiful in "person". That's the thrill of holding it in ones hand.

A feast of colour and texture! I just wish I could hold the books in my hands and study them at my leasure but now at least I have the pleasure of enlarging each one and taking it all in.
The pages are beautiful, so textural and reflective of autumn...what a wonderful collaboration!
Seth,
Your "Evidence of Autumn" is an extraordinary collaboration with Roxanne. Beautifully composed pages, color choice and unique layers.
Wonderful work.
The art work is beautiful - you compliment each other very well - it all looks like it was done by a single creative mind!
What a beautiful job in incorporating the leaves and things from nature into these autumn pages!
Beautiful collaboration! You guys are very talented.
I love the pictures of your work that you post so I love to just look at your blog:) It's just gorgeous. I passed on a butterfly award to you for all that cool beauty!
Seth, this is a truly stunning collaboration between you and Roxanne. The two of you are such gifted artists and to see both of your work together, is just so beautiful and inspiring.
What a wonderful way to build on a friendship in your shared passion and creative talents...You both have such lovely style, flare and an eye for colour and composition...what a treasure this book is both in the process and in the outcome.

The whole collaborative process is such a joy.
Seeing such a beautiful result is just amazing.
So how did this collaboration come about? I think that is interesting on it's own.
Ah, you have me itching to do a collaboration now...lovely work on both of y'alls parts.
What a glorious exchange of fabulous work...You must feel exhiliarated! :)
These pages are gorgeous! And Supria's statement about building on a friendship through art is a strong prompt for me to follow through on an idea of collaborating with my friend in Seattle, Janet. Thank you much for showing these pages.
Happy days,
Joanie
