Throughout the course of the Inner Works altered book collaboration I made an effort to approach each book differently. In doing so, I took the opportunity to use the project as a way to stretch my skills and expand my comfort zone. The direction that I took for each book was impacted by the theme provided by each artist, the size of the book, the pages that were already completed, my connection with the book's artist, and my mood at the time. In the end, I believe the style for each book was distinct. Here are my pages in the third of the five books I worked in. My guiding inspiration here was a visual journal or friendship book.

Seth...do you sleep? I am constantly amazed to see how your sacred marks have progressed so eloquently. The images and play of words delights the viewers and the participants have a bond; connection with your inner soul's thoughts. I am grateful to see this bloom on my heart as I feel inspired to continue my slow fiber journals. I am frustrated that I work so slowly at times and yet for me this slow movement helps me to focus on a healing journey. English word games with numbers are great. 2 and 4 and all that. We don't have this in German. And if we got, we can't bring this near to others, because our language is very difficult.
The second pic offers a real different style, esp. the colors. I like both.
Great pages Seth, thanks for the comment. by the way I never confessed that I ruined my "disintigration" trying to achieve the frosted look it had had during the winter but I did love the whole experience and it is interesting to see that people are still doing it out there. Awesome Seth! And I share your sentiments about sxpanding your skills base and stretching yourself artistically. I'm finding that too as I continue to work on the respective Pulp Redux books. I have just put up a new posting in fact that demonstrates how much Alicia's book has pushed and pulled me along on the artistic journey.

Love these friendship pages- the color, spirit and change of style for you. So great to see these "new" pages that you made in Veronica's book. Since you created in her book after I did, it's so great to see them! Wish we could have one more round robin of "book passing" so we could see everyone's completed books in person!!
i really like the graphic blocks of twos and twos and twos. ahh, and the two text is bliss. the blue silhouette is scrumptious. and the couple at the bottom just plain makes me happy with the blue and green hand holding. fabulous, seth!

Of course I like the quilt, patchwork of that head and button eye...the quilted rack of number 2's, the third page is a wonderful journal page as well. Fun fun fun the words of twos.
I had the advantage of seeing all three of your last posts, so I have seen all your book pages. Yes, I believe each style was distinct. You have a unique perspective with each book, and maybe it was your mood, but you must be happy all the time to make such great art.
