Achelois
The newest addition to my Making Waves series. Each is a handmade, one-of-a-kind assemblage. Made from found objects and a hand from a 19th century religious statue, this series speaks to the issues of past and present, ancient and new, and the passage of time. Achelois is named after the Greek moon goddess known for washing away pain.
Available for purchase in The Altered Page on Etsy.
Sold. Thank you!

I love the simplicity of this..simple..but awesome.
Your Achelois is a super addition to your Making Waves series. Just love the name after the Greek moon goddess for washing away pain-brilliant and so beautifully compliments the outreached hand standing above those 5 great layers to form it's rich pedestal! There's no limit to your talents!
wonderful new piece and I love the slightly webbed fingers!!
I love this, the hand and the colors of the rust/metal. Very nice!
beautiful, seth...
very cool Seth! -- I find the base of the assemblage to be very calming.
That was fast. It sold before I ever saw it. I'm so jealous. I love hands, and this one really caught my eye. When I first saw it, the word symmetry came to mind. It's just wonderful.
Lisa Hoffman gave me the heads up and I will try to figure out a way to e-mail you while my regular e-mail is down for the count. I'm thrilled about the book. Thanks so much!
Lovely concept, beautiful artwork. What Jill says here are also my sentiments.
