Sundays with The Pulse

Two weeks from today the next installment of The Pulse will begin. I have missed my Sunday postings these last few weeks and thought I would share with you a preview of what is to come.

Collectors Edition

In which your favorite artists share their favorite collection or obsession.
______________________

I am obsessive and compulsive when it comes to collecting. For your sake, I'll share only one for now.
I can't resist little boxes! There are about 90 boxes stored here and many more throughout the house and studio. I've vowed to stop acquiring them. Yeah, right.

I can't get enough of vintage metal picture frames...

My current obsession and collection is of  tiny, very old, little bisque dolls. I find a lot of them at the flea market or antique stores. But I don't like to pay too much for them - just a few dollars each. I always think I'll make them into jewelry pieces, but have a hard time parting with them!

Text! I love text in almost any form. I collect old types. And letters from old signs, and alphabet stamps. And I often use text in my collages. And, of course, in my art journals.

 Meet my monster collection.

This is going to be really fun. I also love to see what people collect - and right now I am very glad to see I'm not the only boxaholic.

Love looking at these collections. Funny, but somehow I think any grouping of similar objects put together look super- no matter what they are! Thanks for another wonderful posting Seth!

I have so many odd things I collect I think I would be mortified to photograph them and put them into the public realm! ;D
But surely enjoy seeing others collections of cool stuff!

LOVE looking at other's collections!! @Anne, you would be surprised at how a nice tight shot of a "collection" can make them look so neat!! lol My collections take over a lot of places in my home.

While I find myself at the point in my life where I'm feeling overwhelmed with all my "collections"...after seeing these I can't help but feel that maybe one more collection wouldn't hurt...

Wow. I can't even remember what I collect, but old age tells me it's probably old paper!
