'Too Much Glue' Giveaway

I am often contacted by companies who offer me the opportunity to review their products on my blog.  99% of the time I say no. But 1% of the time I am presented with something that I think might really appeal to my readers and I say yes. The book Too Much Glue was one of those instances.

Written by Jason Lefebvre
Illustrated by Zac Retz

While this book seems at first glance to be primarily aimed at kids...I think it also connects to the kid in all of us no matter what age. From the press release: Although his teacher has warned him that too much glue never dries, Matty loves glue...So one day during art, he searches for the fullest glue bottles in the classroom and the fun begins...

And fun is what this book is all about. From the story that cannot help but make you laugh and smile to the colorful and exuberant illustrations, Too Much Glue will resonate with the artist in everyone. You cannot help but like this book. Take a peek inside here.

----------------------------------
The people at Flashlight Press have provided me with two copies of this book to give away. To be eligible, please leave a comment on this post by end of day Sunday, August 25th. And please make sure I have a way to contact you should you be the winner. Good luck!

What a totally fun book! What I would like to know is:

Since the book is about MY artistic life(although they appear to have changed my name) are the publishers going to be contacting ME to sign off on the film and cartoon rights?

;-)

The too much glue kid is probably related to the kid that ate the paste. Remember him? I'm telling my age because we used paste instead of glue at school. A boy in our 1st grade class ate it like candy. Would most certainly love to win this book. Thanks for the chance Seth.

I looked at the preview, and it looks quite funny. I can't imagine being glued to the table. I can imagine putting too much glue on when trying to glue a coordinating paper to the back of a collage that I am going to bind into a book, though. Definitely guilty of using too much glue!

Hi Seth,
This sounds like a hilarious book. I've been to your site many times and heard great things about you from Marit (owner of Featuring). I was surprised to find that I'd never signed up to follow you and when I did tonight, I'm officially your 1000th follower, I'm so honored, lol. Anyway, lovely giveaway and good choice for reviewing.
Best,

Perfect book. I am a retired teacher who scrapbooks with a 2nd grade classroom. I am constantly reminding the kids to go easy on the glue. This would be fun to share with them. Thanks for sharing and for the chance to win a copy.

Having taught elementary aged children for 36 years I know the use of glue by that age group. This book brings back so many glue memories. I glad this book was written. Thanks for offering it up as a give-away

Looks like a fun book for the grandkids as I can relate. They all know the story of granny (me) super gluing three of my fingers to the fridge!

Eyeleeeen said...

As a retired elementary school teacher, I can verify that the love affair between child and glue is the real thing! Whenever I did an art project with my kids there'd always be a few who covered their hands with Elmer's, waited for it to dry, then spent the remainder of the day peeling it off. Good times! LOL.

This sounds like a fun book and giveaway! If I'm one of the lucky winners (and feel generous : ), there are several young kids in my life who would undoubtedly love this story! Thanks, Seth!

Thanks for an opportunity to win and not buy a great book for my classroom. I am a reading educator and award winning mixed media artist who is often made fun of because I barely own a piece of clothing without some trace of paint or glue on it. After looking inside, I love this book because it speaks to the part of an artist which cannot help playing with what they love!
