the color in the close up remind me of a chip off a decayed metal wall, so much beauty in a small area.
Excellent- and right on trend with a big collection of projects that arrived in my Somerset Workshop (Spring) yesterday! Love the red twine!
The background is such a yummy bark effect. I can feel the roughness just looking at it. I'm loving your use of leaves in the recent Revoloutions.

Another stunning addition to your Revolution series. The red twine really catches the eye, and I love the nail. (I have a cache of rusty nails that I'm hoarding - shame on me). The texture is awesome, and causes my muse to ask, How does he do that??? It look so old, weathered, and real.
This piece is terrific, Seth. It invokes the idea of a painful memory. The nail and the red thread against the delicate leaf reminds me of Frida Kahlo's paintings, particularly the ones where she used objects to symbolize her physical pain. What were you thinking of when you created this particular piece?
