Imagine

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

John Lennon

A trying time for me when that song hit the airwaves. I'd lived the Beatles - right through SE Asia. This wakes up a lot of memories in me, Seth. Your art is compelling as are the words. We have men in harms way, and I think of forty years ago today, when Sargeant Pepper was leading a platoon instead of a band.

Peace. And the best to You and Yours from Me and Mine for 2010.

Imagination is more important than knowledge, as Einstein said ;-) Wonderful Seth - as always.

As long as you keep sharing your thoughts, ideas, and memory prompts, you will be my kind of dreamer, and I'll join you.

Of course, MY dream would be that I could spend just ONE DAY with you in your studio. That would be the perfect day for me. Happy New Year, Seth!!

This poem has come to me this week in a book I read, and in a magazine article and on a quilt someone made in a blog I"m a part of...Lennon is being quoted all over the map!
Your piece is provocative!
Wishing you a creative New Year!

wouldn't it be great if we could list the INGREDIENTS for "the world to live as one"...
read through this anthem, although we know it by heart, and came to ingredients...and thought, oh wouldn't that be great. the recipe.

my heart's a little heavy with the return of terror alerts. good to IMAGINE still. thanks!
