Final Exam

A review of the recent exhibition "Below the Surface" which included two of my artist books (Billboard and Underground) just appeared online on examiner.com and can be found here. The review also includes a brief slide show highlighting some of the books that were exhibited.

Congratulations, Seth! Your beautiful work inspires me, and I am glad it inspired the article writer as well. Wish I could have seen the exhibit! I really love billboard, and would love to see more of Underground, as well.

Two gorgeous contrasting works... both amazing pieces. I love the brightness and texture in Underground and the complex details and color in Billboard. Billboard reminds me a lot of Peter Beard's collages which I've highlighted in my Pulse Survey.

Seth, I tried the link to the examiner but it is giving me a 404 error. I also tried just visiting their arts and entertainment link from the main site and that too gave an error. I will try again later to see. Congrats to you on the exhibit!

Looks like you are in with some great company, Seth. Your interview was well deserved, as was the page the newspaper choose as their lead.

It's nice to see the follow up of this exhibit and a peek once again at your amazing books. Thanks for providing the links so we can see these one more time.

That should have read "chose." I know how to spell, just not how to type.

Congratulations Seth. I enjoyed the article, the slide show, your books and the other artists' books as well. Did you get to meet the other artists? I also was intrigued by the work of Mary Ellen Campbell at her web site. Great links! Thanks.

Great publicity Seth! Billboard looks very interesting from seeing the cover. Years ago I saw an exhibit in Paris of giant works of art from the 50's that had the same inspiration of aged billboards. I'll need to find some of those postcards that I got from the exhibit because I can't remember the artist's name.
