In Every Wind

Last in the series, here is one more set of pages that I completed for the Inner Works altered book collaboration that has just ended.

Roxanne Evans Stout - Earth Tones

embroidered over with millions of silver flowers

where olive leaves were twinkling in every wind that blew

Thank you Supria, Jill, Roxanne, Rita, and Veronica for sharing this experience with me.

seth, I like the way you have done each set of pages with such understanding! did you do all your sets of pages as groups or did this involve doing one page at a time and sending it on? kind of hard to word that question. hope its clear. thanks for showing us.lyle

More pages that I never got to see. Just love them and of course, your wonderful poetic words. What great layers of various materials and such an assortment of textures and "earth tones" throughout your pages. Just love them!

I agree with Jeannette - I want to examine these up close. I want to see the books in their entirety. OK, I'll tell the truth - I want to STEAL them!!!

I am just like your art worshipers except I want to see them published...are you listening Universe? The earthy colors and textures make you want to reach out and hold these sacred pages in my hands. This is quite a challenge and a such a brilliant leap of faith! Enjoy the snowflakes...go out and make a snow angel! Imagine and Live in Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart

Before I ever saw the title of the book, I thought "Nature." Rust is definitely an earth tone and the natural elements, the key, everything, just screamed earth tones. You are to be commended and applauded.

Hummm as I was looking and experiencing theses awesome pages I was thinking how they seem masculine to me. Are they? I don't know that for sure.

When I pick up stuff from the streets or junk yard, I pick up large and small pieces but when I go to work I leave the chunkier pieces in the wind.

I have taken classes from males and you all come from a different direction. That's why we all do so well together!

Oh, wow, Seth. You have really got to go to the Met and get an installation there. The beauty of your rusty work and your attention to detail are so amazing. I want a whole wall of your work, and while I couldn't buy that many pieces, I'm thinking of having them reproduced and spread all around the originals I was lucky enough to get!

Thanks for your unique vision.
