As much as I love the computer, nothing beats an honest-to-goodness, made-from-paper, actual book when it comes to art. I am guessing that many others share this feeling as the stock of new and soon-to-be-released books is bursting at the seams. Here are just a few of the books I am looking forward to...
Encaustic Revelation
by Patricia Baldwin Seggebruch
The Art of Whimsical Lettering by Joanne Sharpe
Creative Image Transfer by Lesley Riley

I just received Alternative Art Surfaces, and have looked at about half, and I'm already VERY excited. Wonderful stuff in there. Can't wait to try some.
I can't believe you have time to actually read. However, ALL these books are now on my ever-growing wish list. All I need is $$$$s and a few more hours in the day.
OMG! I am going to go broke! :-)
John's comment says it all! I have already pre-ordered a couple of these, and am just waiting for the "see it now" feature to kick in on some of the others. Thanks for the heads-up.
Oh wow, lots of great ones here . . . will have to check them out.
I couldn't agree more! I'm especially intrigued by the one on painting on different surfaces...
yup! I feel an emptying of the pockets here! Thanks Seth! heehee
Thanks for sharing, Seth - many of these titles are new to me.
Oh my goodness, I need to add ALL of them to my books wish list.........
thanks Seth! i can find lots of new and great ones here.. liked them all almost. :)
SETH!
Thanks for letting me know what's up! I've been so immersed in my own work I wasn't aware of some of these! Oh, a dina wakley book... must have. I don't know why I didn't know about that one, since I follow her on IG.
Oh such lovely books but spoilt by the publishers insistence on putting text they intend you to read over patterned backgrounds.
I'd have bought several of these in a heartbeat but after a look on Amazon's search inside discovered that most of the information is unreadable due to the background patterning. I know I have Dyslexia but it is such a common problem in society and a lot of us wit hit are also the creative sorts who would be prime market for these books.
Such a shame, I wonder if others find it hard to read the text in these books? Would you mind putting up one of your famous surveys as to what others think on this subject.
Would a busy background under information text put you off buying a book?
52 card pick-up sounds like a blast! Next time you're in the LA area, I'd love to take your class.
Yes indeed, a book in the hands, the scent of crisp new pages is hard to resist.
