The Art of the Collaboration
If you have followed my blog for even a short time, you know how important collaborations are for me. Whether they take the form of an online survey such as The Pulse or a handmade art project like Graffiti Wall, they have become a large part of my artistic identity. Join me at the MMCA Marketplace for my third Creative Contributor post called "The Art of the Collaboration". And then, if you find yourself inspired, get busy!
If you missed my first two MMCA postings you can find "In and Out" here and "Embrace Mistakes" here.

You are the poetic guide...sorry my last comment is mixed up due to brain fatigue...wonderful waves of emotion. Imagine and Live in Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
"Embrace Mistakes"?
How about:
"Just Friends with Mistakes"?
"Went to Boarding School with Mistakes"?
"Marry Mistakes"?
yes, mistakes and I are very close, personal friends.
Love the collaboration names.
Wonderful post on collaborations and a super article and pictures in MMCA! Having collaborated on several amazing projects with you,(what a gift to me), I agree that the experiences of friendships developed and the inspiration and flow of creative energy is something to truly treasure. Blogging and commenting can be the very first step in a communication collaboration of reflections and inspiration! For larger art collaborations- it's so important to make sure you have the time, and are committed and open to the creative opportunity to see that anything can happen! You are so right in what tremendous and wonderful surprises you can experience all along the way!
Loved all of your work in the MMCA post, especially the Earth piece here. I was in a fabulous book round robin with seven Americans and eight Aussies. It was my first experience of this kind and was such an exciting and rewarding event. I loved the anticipation of receiving the next book and the amazing art that was created by all of the participants. It was a great collaboration and I developed many new friendships.
the circles- representing cycles, renewal and connections-- and the rust representing the passage of time-- wonderful combination
There are mistakes and then there are opportunities, a fine line indeed. I always begin my art work thinking that I will probably begin by creating a series of problems which my challenge is then to solve each and every!
I have enjoyed your writing on MMCA. It is a good resource & you are a very positive contributor.
hey seth, i just read "the art of collaboration" on mmca marketplace, and enjoyed it greatly! especially the parts about being able to view and handle someone else's work "up-close-and-personal," (frequently giving one new perspective), and being "forced," or "pushed" to work in a medium that is outside your own comfort zone. both, great inspirational reminders!
Dear Seth, your article at MMCA Marketplace is wonderful
I love the pieces you share there as well
and that some of them are with me right now, and others I have actually held in my hands, and devoured the details.
