Facets

Facets. A new series.

Inspired by...

the heat of the summer sun
drops of rain
fireworks
the masks we all wear
the setting sun
the sounds of silence
the many sides of the self
transformation

In the spirit of Native American face painting, which has been used as a means of artistic expression since ancient times, the pieces in this series have been given Native American names.

Catori - Spirit

Sold. Thank you!

This is very different from your usual work. It is good to explore some other things. Good work.
BTW thanks for introducing shellac into my life. I simply can't live without it anymore.

Seth, these two works-Catori Spirit and Hiyana Falling Rain are superb! Love the use of this new color scheme and the textural designs within both the faces and backgrounds. Wonderfully poetic words that accompany your new series! Great title to the series as well as the names of your artwork!

"Masks that we wear"...gave rise to contemplation...I too like the colors, the flair, the movement and the silence.

I LOVE the blue! Wonderful series and I love the connection to the native americans (I am currently reading "Caleb's Crossing" by Geraldine Brooks).

Looking forward to seeing more.

Quelle jolie série, Seth! J'aime beaucoup les couleurs plus fortes, les traits plus précis. Bravo à vous d'aller toujours plus loin que votre zone de confort!

Facets is going to be another wonderful series. And your words flow together so beautifully, like the flow of your colors and like raindrops on water. Stay cool and have a great weekend! roxanne
