Join me every Sunday when I share some of my favorite links I discovered in the previous week.
All previous links can be found here.
And here is Week 46...
Thoughts on social media and creative motivation from Gretchen Miller.
Faux metal surface from Shelly Hickox. I swear it looks real.
Yes. These are actually paintings. From Patrick Kramer.
Jodi Ohl reflects on the passion that is necessary to maintain a business as an artist.
Near Houston? Rumor has it this installation is a must-see (thanks to Donna Joy for the tip).
If I could tell you one thing... Wise words from Paula Bogdan.
Excited to see that Crystal Neubauer's upcoming book on collage is available for pre-order now.

I checked out all the links...NICE PICKS, Seth!
I really was taken with:
"Wise Words from Paula Bogdan"
Everyone should read this one!
Thanks so much for including my technique in your post, Seth!
Re. the Patrick Kramer paintings. I always find it interesting and somewhat puzzling that the highest praise for paintings is often "it looks just like a photograph", and conversely for photographs "it looks just like a painting". I'm sure there's some sort of message there.
as usual, great links-enjoyed "if i could tell you one thing"-
Jody Wood-i think those of us that can't draw are amazed by paintings that are as real as a photo. A photo captures a real moment-when a painting is that "real" it is impressive. Not that other types of painting isn't impressive too, just in a different way.
If I could tell one thing it would be about looking in old mirrors and feeling the passion! :)
Thanks for the Sunday links, Seth. I was in LA on Sunday but I am checking them out today!
I look forward to these every week as my reminder to get out there and explore ... thanks for another great week of links...xx
I love seeing all the artful links here today, Seth, but I have to toss out all that art in favor of the words of Paula Bogdan. Perhaps it is my age that makes her words so meaningful, but, indeed, they brought tears to my face. Not sure why it takes most of us so many decades to realize that it is not the things in life, but, life itself that is so important! Get out there and experience it, People!!
