Those of you who have followed my blog for awhile know my love for the color blue -- in all it's endless hues: sky blue, cerulean, navy, cobalt and all the rest. Every shade of blue is welcome on my paint brush. So when I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to be featured in the With One Palette section of the July/August issue of Somerset Studio...
...I knew exactly what range of colors I would choose: Blue, White, Black and Silver Metallic.

Seth,
Congratulations on getting your "With One Palette" works published in Somerset Studio. Love all the shades and hues and "colors" of your blues! And while only one of your pieces actually says "Soar", they all do in my book!
seth, Lynne told me you were in this issue along with more of my favorite artists! cant wait to see the real thing! love your "Soar". my colors too!
Wow those look great, I love the circular piece (the one just about Soar).
Congrats and love especially the piece with the Frozen Charlotte and of course *Soar*.....all that paper!
Will have to seek out this copy soon; in the hinterlands they fly off quick!

Just beautiful! Looking forward to getting my hands on this issue.
Until a few years ago, I avoided blue like the plague. I'd put some in my work, but never on me or in my home. Things have changed and your color combo is now one of my favorites.
I just started reading this issue last night...and right off found your article! Nicely done, sir! Very inspirational indeed...I have it marked for "future reference"!!!
Congrats! Your work / color scheme does have a soothing effect that makes me melt a little. Love it.
annie!
Congrats on being published again Seth...I am so drawn to your color choices and your creativity!

What a great opportunity. "With One Palette" is one of my favorite features in Somerset Studio. I look forward to seeing the rest of the article. Blue is a real favorite of mine, too.
I like the new direction I'm seeing in Somerset Studio. You seem to appear in it on occasion, too.
Well, congrats AGAIN! you have so many irons in the fire and it's wonderful that they are ALL igniting!
Congrats to you, Seth! These pieces are fantastic- blue and circles, two of my favorite things! I'm in love with the one with all the 'gears'. (I do feel a wee bit sorry for the poor legless baby, though- :) The article is sure to be awesome; I can't wait to buy it when I go out tomorrow.
Oh, I love the "handle with care." And the words on words on words! The blue is very familiar and lovely. Great work here, Seth!
another publication? there is no stopping you is there?
I do love that baby in the hand; at least that is what it means to me...while I wait out the last few weeks of my daughter in laws pregnancy...I so look forward to becoming a grandma one more time.
I love SOAR!
Blue is beautiful falling from your paint brush on all things.
You so so so inspire!
Happy for you once again!!!!!!!!
I think I shall have a shelf filled with just Apter Art in print soon!
Well done that man! I particularly like 'Soar'.
congratulations again Seth, you are so remarkable, and really on a publishing roll... I am so happy for you...
I saw this article the other day and meant to email you a congrats... bravo!
Congratulations, Seth! I love the pieces you have done for the article. Can't wait to see it in the mag.
beautiful. perfect.
Congrats on the publication Seth! I love all the artwork you show here but the last piece ('soar') really took my breath away!
Congratulations Seth! Soar has my vote. What a great piece!
"Handle with care" flooded me with memories of my fourth born child. He was so anxious to come into the world, that he came 2 months early. His little head was so small that one ear touched my thumb, the other softly nestled against my little finger as I cradled his small head in my hand; I feared burping him on my shoulder lest I pat too hard & he end up flying off my shoulder.
In "Handle with care" you seem to have quite exquisitely captured the love, delicacy, nurturing and even fear, that I felt every time I held him. Wow!
Luckily, he had all four limbs and has grown into a big strapping young man, husband to his high school sweetheart, loving father of three, and a detective who specializes in protecting young abused children.
Thank you, Seth, for sharing this remarkable piece of art work that evokes intense feelings and memories.
Seth! Congratulations on this newest publication of this sensitive and strong piece!
I am having a great time at the encausticamp and love it all! Roxanne
Congratulations Seth! I like the circular piece most of all!
finally opened my copy last night- congrats on the article-loved seeing more pictures on here-love this mix of colors~
Fantastic art and colour combination. Each piece is just fabulous!
Congratulations on the feature, so well deserved.
the Soar piece is full of a play that reminds me of military camo, only the colors are of sky... interesting subtext for me in that patterning.
Congratulations on your entry in Somerset Studio. That is very cool. It was the first US art magazine I ever bought and launched a passion for American art magazines. So I do have a soft spot for Somerset Studio.
me too ..your shades of blue are so varied and always soothing!
Great to see you in Somerset Studio, Seth. I only treat myself to one now and then, so I was thrilled to find you in it! Beautiful work :)
