This is beautiful, Seth and somewhat remeniscent of a pompeii cast. It seems like a lucky symbol to me, however (unlike those who got caught out in Pompeii). There is also something quite shrine-like to it.
cool hand. I like the way you mounted this one. and yes there is something shrinelike about it! I think the blemish on her hand has some religious meaning??? cant recall exactly. will have to look into that.
Oh my goodness - this is just fabulous. I love the crackled, aged, rustiness of it all! When I looked at your ETSY shop and saw it's size, I'm really amazed at such detail in so small a piece. Very nice!
This is lovely. I can't help but think stigmata with the marking in the palm. It lends layers of meaning to unravel while viewing. I enjoy the aura of mystery around this work.
I love books so I appreciated your library list post.. and I love that assemblage/collage with the library date stamper thingie.. and I always enjoy your STYLE posts.. and the HANDS Seth.. one of my favorite series of yours..
SETH!! I miss you! I am back from a trip and I want to catch up on everything! I always wonder what beauties are up on your site, and here they are. I hope you are doing well. are you going to ARtfest? Please go to Artfest and take Ellsworth's workshop with me. We'll goof on other people. Or, I'll be quiet. Whatever you feel comfortable with.

A masterly piece.
Wonderful piece. The hand carries so much meaning. I've written a number of poems in which the hand figures.

This is one of my favorites, strength and endurance are the words I needed to hear this morning.

Makes me think of something that would be dug up in some archeological dig. Wonderful.

I KNEW I recognized my hand. What was I doing when you snuck that photo?
Each of your hand works are so unique in their special ways. Especially love the amazing base- just super!
A fascinating work, one of mystery and imagination.
I love this one to, especially the rough hole in the center, and the base IS wonderful. roxanne

No wonder it's sold... it's gorgeous... well in my world it is... ;) ... Love it!
Great hands, especially all together on facebook. Everybody should see them. What about a poster?
