David Hayes from Clearer Reflections is sponsoring an online collaborative project aptly called 'Dave's Apps Recipe Book Project.' The brief is simple: share a photograph that was taken with and edited within an iPhone or iPad and share the recipe so others can 'cook' too. Head on over to his blog to see the links to all the participants.
My photo was edited using Grungetastic. With a name like that, it has got to be good.
Recipe
Take one photograph and add:
One scoop of Classic Grunge 3
A heaping teaspoon of tone & color adjustment
Two cups of border
A dash of abstract layer
Grainy layer to taste
And to further whet your APPetite...

Though I wasn't sure what the photo was in the thumbnail it drew me in to examine it closer. Beautiful photo Seth! The padlock on blue also makes my heart skip.
Wonderful photos. That last one with the padlock is just stunning.
Love the barbed wire shot, I have a thing for barbed wire. Loving the mannequins and the last shot too.
Those are really cool Seth! I think the barbed wire would go really well with my horse photo.

There's some sort of visual echo there. As soon as I looked at yours, I thought of the horse. So wish I had the technology to play along. :(
I liked your app so much I've downloaded for iPhone and my MacPro. Yippeeee!!!
Clever...love your recipe like touch. Nice photos too!
I'm going with the Padlock in Blue. That should be a ringtone!
Love what you've done with your apps, Seth. Couldn't decide which I liked best. The dummys were cool, but the blue door with lock was very eye appealing color wise.
I don't get to play in David's project, as my plan won't let me trade my droid for a 4s til the 4th! Darn it all anyway!!
Don't ya know in the old days, a store would have said, "ah, it's just a few days, we'll let ya have it early".
Great project idea. I also really like the image of the padlock.
These are incredible!! A grungemaster you are, indeed! Thanks for being part of this project!
Nice slices of here and there. Are we not ever satisfied leaving something alone? Is that a question? =J
Grungetastic - now there's a name. Wonderful effects, Seth, another one I'll be adding to my collection. I really love the barbed wire, one of my favourite thigs. Wonder what that says about me? My efforts are on my web page.
Love all of them but that Padlock in Blue is a stunner! I reckon you need to make a print of that and put it up in your Etsy store. Hint, hint!
OMGoodness Seth! I'll bet your recipe is a huge HIT!
It's amazing what people can do with their phones. I remember when a phone had a cord and it never left the room unless it had a 50 foot cord. Those were the days! Great app photos, especially the barbed wire.
You is the Grunge Meister General!
What fun photos! The padlock is my favorite! LOVE the textures!
Stopping by from Clearer Reflections by way of Julie's blog. I don't know how I haven't been to your site before. Really enjoying reading the Technique and Tool posts!
The photos are all great, but I am drawn to the mannequin head...in a morbid sort of way. I can't wait to go download grungetastic!
i'll add this to my recipe box. love the last one too with that beautiful blue.
How cool! Thanks for the info on Grungetastic!! I just downloaded the app and can't wait to play with it!
so fantastic! i think i need to go load up my itunes card before i finish dave's list!
yes, I believe padlock in blue is the winner! always intriguing work from you - love it!
Oh, man, this is cutting EDGE, baby! I love it, and I have a new iPhone and I can't even figure out how to call people on it! Or listen to messages. It's so easy to use, too! I must check this out. I took a photo on it the other day, and if I can figure out where it is, I may have to work on this.
If I erase everything on the phone, will you help me?
Wow Seth, these are wonderful, and I love the blue and the rust in the last photograph too. Each of them are beauties though, and thanks for sharing Grungetastic!
Hi Seth, thank you for leaving good wishes for my trip to Japan. I have been scrolling down all your posts.. I have missed quite a few I see.. and had to stop at this one.. as I love the images.. you always find such wonderful items for your art works.
