Welcome to my blog hop. Everyday from April 2nd through April 12th I will link to a different blog as part of my celebration of the release of my book The Pulse of Mixed Media: Secrets and Passions of 100 Artists Revealed. There will be book reviews, personal thoughts, and giveaways. And every blogger along the way will become part of the book, as they will also post their own responses to their choice of survey questions from the book. You too can be part of The Pulse by responding to my open call for art!
And on each day of the blog hop, I will also be sharing something extra. And today is an extra you will not want to pass by!
I have been hanging out at Kelly Kilmer's blog for many years now. Not only does she share her amazing journal pages, she posts an endless array of fascinating links to other sites as well. And she continues to write a series of posts that offers information that is genuinely relevant, helpful and informative to the working artist. Spend some time wandering through her blog and you will see what I mean. Kelly is an authentic and generous person, a fact I have discovered from her blog, in our emails, and in person when I had the luck to take a workshop with Kelly this past year. Now head on over to this post and see what Kelly shares about The Pulse of Mixed Media...including a giveaway of a copy of the book!

I discovered Kelly a couple years ago when she was doing "A Prompt A Day" stuff. I have some really good journal pages because of her. I've even used her techniques on my painted canvases.

Thank you, Seth, for the kind words and for including me in the blog hop! I am enjoying every moment. I hope that your book is a huge success. You share so much and your posts are always fresh and informative. Thanks again!!!!
I so enjoyed reading about Kelly's take on paint. I have had a lovely time perusing her blog. It was a fun adventure for a sunny Sunday. Happy Easter, too!
I swear I spend more time on your blog than anyone elses...just hopping around from linked blog to linked blog and all that wonderful art seen in all of them. Not to mention the chances to win yet another copy of The Pulse of Mixed Media!
Kelly is an awesome journaller (is that a word?). She must never stop.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and leaving your kind words. Now I know about your book! I have entered a few drawings, so crossing my fingers that I will win one. But if not... I'll have to have it!
Kelly stirs up the artist in everyone! Wonderful sharing.
Kelly's answers to her three chosen questions from the book are thought provoking, and timely. I love her focus on the creative process of art over the 'perfection' of the end product, and the fact that she values the experiencing and learning of the individual in this process, over trying to make art that looks "like it's supposed to." I also love the statement where she compares creating art to breathing: not something she has a choice in; something she HAS to do!
Kelly has a way of helping me get into my "loose and free" energy. thanks.
Paid a visit to Kelly yesterday wonderful work and im still catching up from easter lol
