For the 11th and final day of this blog hop, we visit Stephanie Hilvitz. A trip to Steph's blog, Mango Studio, is like an explosion of color and creativity. And I am happy to say that I will be meeting Steph in person later this month when my book tour takes me to Colorado. I know that she will be every bit as colorful in person as her blog and beautiful art. Steph has been a contributor to my online version of The Pulse and we are frequent visitors to each other's blogs. Wow! Color, color, and more color! Ms. Hilvitz certainly welcomes, and celebrates Spring with her many photographs of tulips, blossoming trees, etc., and in her vibrant paintings of flowers, in posts on Mango Studio. I was particularly taken with her March 29 post called "A Tale of Pozos," and her photographs, and altered photographs, of the doorway in the 'ghost town school', there. She describes, and shows, the lovely patinas of the surfaces of this old building in her 'straight' photographs, and then shows us some of her own use of patina, in the way in which she has applied, and then scraped off, paint in her altered photographs: these deliciously inviting, and texturally rich, lovely images that shehas created! Thanks for a wonderful 11 days, Seth. They have been both informational, and inspiring!

I am here to tell you that Steph and her World is even MORE Beautiful and Amazing in Real Life. I remember the first time that I walked through her home. I think that I passed out. Her art is a genuine reflection of her intellegence and creativity. If you've never visited her site, prepare to BOOKMARK and return.
