These are all so great- just "fit to be tied" and open to be bit by the weather and time. Thanks for sharing these super bundles and artists with us. This is one master disintegration project and how creative and unique each one is and how varied and special each "place in waiting" looks. Hope you get to 100 by tomorrow- friday the 13th. That would be just perfect!

Yeah! We're nearly at 100. I'm so pleased to be part of such a wide and varied group.

Well, there certainly has been no disinterest in disintegration. Congrats Seth. You sure do know how to get the party started.

Perhaps you should organize a disintegration get together in Central Park. Everyone could bring their piece and a picnic. A "D"-in, if you will. :-)

I feel honored to be participating in this unique exchange of ideas and processes! WoooHooo! for you Seth as you guide our spirits along the yellow brick road off discovery. We might get snow tonight and I want to photograph my bundle in the cradle surrounded by snow. Imagine Peace, Mary Helen

"We" are certainly interesting people, aren't we, to put together these human bird nest-like things. I think maybe we would like to see what might happen to us - all exposed to the elements like this - without having to suffer for our art ourselves. Just a thought. Thanks for the project, Seth. It's fun.

My project is pretty much gone-we had a tremendous storm here and all that is left is the driftwood hanger, some lace and a few bits of paper-I walked through the property and found a few pieces but not much-I have left the remains that are still hanging in there and will photograph them in May as planned. My project was in the most secluded area I could find-so imagine what the rest of the property is like! I may try this again in the summer when the winds aren't so fierce-its still always breezy here but that keeps the mosquitoes away during the couple of warm months we get.

Okay, I'm in. If nothing else, it'll fill in the space left when the wind swept through Mary's property.

Can we add links in comments? If so, here's my bundle:

Most impressive work and participation. Reminds me of when we camped out west and we had to put our food up high on a rope off a tree so bears would not get at it.

Hi Seth. I wanna play - I've got the bundle, put it outside (we're expecting wind and rain over the weekend!), and I have done a blog post. Thanks for the great collaborative idea.

Ok Seth - count me in. What do I need to do?

Finally have some blog catch up time and am thrilled to see "Darina" here, hanging out with all these other cool bundles. She is a strong gal, extreme winds the other night that terrified me and she was still chiming away out there. I am already seeing some cool weather action but that is all I am saying for now. I think if it has not happened already it will reach over 100 soon, things like this are too cool to pass up.

This is something I used to do with my papier machee, put it outside and see how long it took to disintegrate. Can I play too, or am I too late? Can you let me know the exact brief?

The forsythias and the lilacs are budding but we missed the snow blanket completely! The green shoots of lilies and daffodils are birthing from the warming winter soil. Have a great weekend! Imagine and live in Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart

All of these Beautiful Bundles hanging from trees are lovely and poetic, but DISINTEGRATION?
*How about hanging a bundle at the mouth of a gutter downspout?
*Duct taping a package to your driveway and driving over it a hundred times?
*Tape some paper to the bottom of your boots and walk on them for a month....
Where are the Disintegration Warriors????

I have had such fun making my parcel today and hanging it up in a tree. It has a glorious view over the hills of County Clare one way and over our vegetable plot the other!!

I am starting my bundle right now Seth and will send you a photo when it is hanging in the tree.

Seth - can't seem to get on to your e mail address and have accidentally deleted your e mail to me (sorry) but am doing the bundle now, so I'll take it from there.

Diddly-squat happening here. I promise you, the Texas heat this summer will make that thing burst into flames.

I absolutely LOVE this project! I actually completed mine and hung it outside last weekend (then we had three straight days of rain, yay!), but I haven't blogged it yet. That's on my list of things to do today, but here's the link to my BEFORE picture on Flickr. Once I blog, I'll come back with a link to that post...thanks so much for the inspiration and for organizing this! :)
