That's Odd

Alicia Caudle from Altered Bits has just published her second artZine online here. The theme is Odd Numbers and it is spectacular. And free! A new piece from my Text Tile series, The One, can be found in the zine and this artwork is now available in my Etsy shop.

While you are on Alicia's site, also have a look at her very cool first artZine entitled Anatomically Altered. And plan to stay a while. Alicia has quite a lot to see on Altered Bits.

Ingredients: watercolor paper, altered paper, acrylic paint, calligraphy ink, dye ink, marker, dry transfer, rub on letters, linen thread. approximately 4" x 3 1/2". click to enlarge.

The One. Available for purchase in The Altered Page on Etsy.
Sold - Thank you!

Also available in my Etsy shop is Clouds - always being made and melted here and there. A big thank you to Paula who included this piece in her Etsy treasury. Click here to see the treasury and here to see Paula's incredible assemblages on her own blog.

Sold - Thank you!

Love your Clouds piece - it reads like a poem of observation at being in the moment. The One is beautiful as well :) Now I'm off to explore Alicia's bits!

Congratulations on such a great piece in Alicia's Altered Bits Art eZine! There is nothing ODD about your piece :)- even in this "odd" grouping, it's such a super creation- layered, textured, numbered, lettered, ink blotched and more layers and letters. On a scale of one to ten, your cloud piece says "10" to me!

I am happy to say 'Clouds' is mine:-) I just love it. My heart spends his days up amoungst the clouds and this piece so speaks to me.

I love The One! That blue ink is really dreamy and odd numbers are my favourites.

Grrr. I just got home from an all-day outing and read your email. Then as fast as my little nimble fingers would take me, I popped onto your blog to get the link to your Etsy listing for the piece in the zine 'cause I was going to buy it. This is the second time I have been too slow. This three hour time difference is proving to be a tad on the unkind side. I should start setting my alarm for 3 AM, just in case. :) One day, Seth, a piece of your art will be mine.

On a serious note, thank you so much for participating in the zine. It's an honor and a privilege to have your beautiful work included (even if I missed out on buying it). :P

The Cloud piece is amazing as well. Congrats to the new owners of both of them!!

Great pieces Seth, loved the zine too, lots of great stuff there. It's always interesting to see everyone's different takes on a theme. Great variety of ideas and pieces this produces from all the contributors.
