33,333 Touchdowns & 5 Giveaways

200,000. That number boggles my mind. 200,000 days is equal to 547 years. 200,000 miles is equal to 7,633 marathons. 200,000 calories is equal to 1,000 donuts. And 200,000 visits is equal to 1 very grateful and happy man.

Today my blog counter passed that mind-boggling number. So to celebrate my 200,000 hit and to anticipate the opening of The Book Guild (more info on The Guild soon I promise), I am having a book giveaway. Five different people will each win one of the following books:

Journal Spilling: Mixed-Media Techniques for Free Expression by Diana Trout

Printmaking + Mixed Media: simple techniques and projects for paper and fabric by Dorit Elisha

Collage Unleashed by Traci Bautista

Cover to Cover: Creative Techniques for Making Beautiful Books, Journals & Albums by Shereen LaPlantz

What It Is by Lynda Barry

All you need to do to enter the giveaway is to leave a comment to this post and include the ONE book you would most like to receive. In the end, I will divide the names into five groups based on the book choice, and choose five winners. Please make sure I have a way of contacting you to let you know if you have won. If you do not want to leave your email address within your comment, please send it to me by email.

Comments will be closed late on Friday March 26th and winners will be posted on my blog on Sunday March 28th. Good luck. And thank you all for your visits, your comments, and your support!!

Found your blog from Trudy Callahan's site...lots of fun stuff!

All of those books sound great.

Congrats on your good news!

Congrats Seth, those are some huge numbers soon to get Huger I'm sure!
The choices you presented make it so HARD to choose, thankfully me being the book whore I am actually own most of them! Might I add that they are awesome books! That still leaves me with quite the dilema... Do I choose;

Cover to Cover: Creative Techniques for Making Beautiful Books, Journals & Albums by Shereen LaPlantz

or

What It Is by Lynda Barry

They both look so amazing.... and Lynda Barry's book looks so visually crammed full of inspiration but Ido want to foray deeper into bookbinding and lack a good book that covers the nuts and bolts of it so I think my choice will be Cover to Cover: Creative Techniques for Making Beautiful Books, Journals & Albums by Shereen LaPlantz.

Thanks for the chance and I look forward to Sunday's post... I LOVE IT!

Hi Seth

Congratulations on your wonderful blog milestone. :) This is such an inspiring place to visit and always makes me want to create.

I would love my name to go into the hat to try to win the Journal Spilling book. I started an art journal and I need ideas to help free up my creative spirit.

In the past I have taken 'art' too literally and have dismissed anything that isn't traditional photographic style of painting. I'm discovering life and art is so much more fun and interesting if you mess with the boundries and see what comes up.

Fingers crossed,

Best wishes and thanks for the inspiration

Billie :)

Congratulations on 200K. What a great and magic number. Why is it that when 200,000 is reduced from days to 547 years, it seems like such a bigger amount than when 200,000 is reduced from calories to only 1000 donuts. I'm sure I could eat 1000 donuts in my lifetime, but couldn't live 547 years!

You make it hard to choose, but I've always wanted Traci Bautista's Collage Unleashed.

Wow! It hardly seems fair that those numbers reflect such huge distances and such, and yet 1,000 donuts equaling 200,000 calories is such a small amount of donuts.
