When One Door Closes...

When one door closes...

Thanks to everybody who has participated in the weekly meetings of The Book Guild for the last 21 Sundays. I imagine that quite a few libraries were padded during that time. As The Book Guild is part of my online project The Pulse, the day had to come when regular postings would end. And that day will be this Sunday, September 5th. Please stop by for a special post about the "transformative experience" of art.

Given my connection to books -- reading them, making them, and altering them -- my plan is to continue to hold periodic meetings of The Book Guild. So do not throw away your membership card just yet.

...another opens.

Join The Altered Page on Sunday, September 12th for StudioScapes, the newest installment of The Pulse. On that day, and continuing on consecutive Sundays, stop by to see images of vignettes from the studios and homes of nearly 150 artists, each one chosen by the artist as their own favorite.

I'm here for the long run, Seth. It's been a very rewarding experience and I'm assuming it will continue when the next door opens.

I'm intrigued. I will miss the Sunday Book Guild, but look forward to seeing where others create. It will be a fun trip to see how others "decorate" their studios. Again, thanks for all you are doing.

The Book Guild has been a blast, Seth! I'll keep my card tucked beneath my library card and look forward to Studio Scapes. Thanks so much for allowing me to participate in The Pulse.

I love the way you draw us in to that which tantilizes and excites us as artists, encourages, and supports, inspires and instructs.
I'll never give up my entry card as long as you keep doing what you are doing so well. Thanks for such a fun blog!

Can't wait to read your post on the "transformative experience" of art this coming sunday. Although it's the close of your consecutive series of The Book Guild, I'm very excited to begin your Studio Scapes - with favorite images of vignettes from the studios and homes of the participating artists in your series. What a wonderful new chapter to look forward to. You are so innovative!

I about had a heart attack when I read the title, "When One Door Closes." I thought you were going to say you were closing your blog. Egads! I was going to have to hit you over the head. :O) Now I'm going to have to drink a Bud Lite to calm down. Oh wait. It isn't even noon here. Well, it is somewhere.
